Hello. My name is Elena.
I live in Akademgorodok (Novosibirsk, Russia).
I like classical art: painting, sculpture, academic ballet, music, books, architecture. And I am very proud of the achievements of Russia at all times in these and other areas.
So, if you have a favorite painting or a favorite artist, you may send me a postcard with it, I will be happy to expand my ken.

I am fond of science fiction. Particularly I like dystopia, steampunk, space fiction. I watched all the Star Trek (my favorite are TOS and DS9) and the entire Doctor Who (from the First Doctor to the Thirteenth Doctor).

Favorite music groups: Pink Floyd, Duran Duran, Nautilus Pompilius, Placebo, Scissor Sisters, The Beatles, Queen, Depeche Mode, etc.
Favorite artists: Mikhail Vrubel, Nicholas Roerich, Beatrix Potter.
Favorite actors: Colin Firth, Jude Law, Jeremy Brett, Rupert Everett, Richard Armitage, Mads Mikkelsen, Marlon Brando, Vivien Leigh, Николай Черкасов, Василий Ливанов, Вячеслав Тихонов, Олег Табаков, Юрий Соломин.

Also I like postcards with:
- eastern national culture;
- historical dances (especially, XIX century);
- surrealism;
- stained-glass window;
- lanterns;
- chess;
- Adriano Celentano, David Bowie;
- piglets (only real, not drawn, please);
- owls, red cats, crows, raven;
- physalis, thistle;
- Kommissar Rex (my favorite characters are Richard Moser, Christian Böck);
- TV-show "Quantum Leap";

- Babylon 5 (especially, Londo Mollari, Neroon);
- The Lord of the Rings, Hobbit;
- fantastic creatures (kumiho, kitsune, fairy, dragons, etc).

- fairy tale "Snow Queen" (not Disney, please);
- PHQ cards;
- maxicards (a postcard with a postage stamp placed on the picture side of the card where the stamp and card match or are in maximum concordance).
