Hi everyone!
Our names are Paige and Joan, and we are twin sisters from Michigan. We actually have another account, but are using this for a very special purpose.This account was originally set up for our aunt, but after seeing how much joy Postcrossing can spread, we decided to use it for a family friend, Marge. Marge has been a cross between teacher and grandmother our whole life, and the knowledge she shared has ultimately influenced and inspired us to who we are now. Because of her great interest in other countries and cultures, we'd like to give Postcrossing postcards as a surprise gift for her, which she'll treasure. Traveling and learning about culture has always been something she's enjoyed, but due to age and some health problems, she is unable to travel very far.
*Marge has been very sick over the holidays and hasn’t been able to leave her house,so any get well wishes will be appreciated*

Although she is in her late 80s, she's very sharp and able, and lives by herself. She's generous, witty, and dedicated to living her best life. Marge enjoys reading (especially any historical novel and biographies), watching classic movies, learning languages (her most recent attempt was Gaelic) and genealogy. Genealogy is one of her greatest hobbies - her ancestors were from Scotland (Seil in Argyll), Denmark, and Ireland. She enjoys traveling locally to discover more about her ancestors, and likes helping people with their genealogy as well. She is also part of an Irish club located in Detroit. Interests Marge had in the past include crocheting, cross-stitching, and traveling spontaneously. Perhaps one of her greatest hobbies is music, which she's loved all her life. She was once a dedicated pianist/organist, but a recent fall prevented her from continuing. Even so, she enjoys all sorts of music, especially classical, folk, big band, opera, and Leonard Cohen.
