About Olga...

My observations on received cards:
- Every third card received begins with the words "I hope you enjoy this postcard"
- Every fifth person who writes in the profile "write, please, on the postcard date" does not write the date on the postcard, he/she sends

My name is Olga. I was born on the island of Sakhalin, but now I live close to Moscow. I like traveling and I often visit European cities. I work in logistics for a bread a sweets company. I like sewing, knitting, taking pics around me and I making art-deco glass lamps.

I like European and American movies from the 30s-70s. From today’s cinema I love directors such as: Aki Kaurismäki, Claude Lelouch, Pedro Almodóvar, Doris Dörrie, Isabel Coixet, Roy Andersson or Paweł Pawlikowski. I particularly like watching the Japanese and Argentinian films.

For the music, it depends on my mood: Andrey Petrov's music, Francis Lai, orchestra Pérez Prado, Astor Piazzolla, Carmen Miranda, Rocío Jurado, Mari Trini, Giusy Ferreri and Olivia Ruiz are among my favorites.

I like to look for old books on design of clothes or suit elements in secondhand bookshops: embroidery, laces. I love flea markets and my favorite one is Feira da Ladra in Lisbon.

I also love paintings. I collect books about art. I liked to imagine stories about these people drawn in the painting. "The Moscow yard" by the Russian artist Vasily Polenov 1878 was my favorite one when I was a kid. I like paintings with movement, for example, I love «The Singing Butler» by Jack Vettriano, "Girl in a Red Dress Reading by the Swimming Pool" by John Lavery.

I am painting:

I would be glad of getting any card!

If you want to pick up something special for me, it could be:

- A picture of an artist from your country or someone you particularly like
- Illustrations: Sven Nordqvist, Chihiro Iwasaki, Rébecca Dautremer, Isabelle Planté, Quint Buchholz, Holly Clifton-Braun, Rob Scotton,...
- Beautiful dresses in paintings or photography
- Something related to tango
- Monochrome photography
- Window, door, balconies
- Rain, water reflections
- Traditional customs
- Interesting lamps
- People working
- Fishing
- Spring

If you do not know that to write on the card, just go to a window and write what you see in that moment. Or just tell me what are you interested in at the moment. Or what is your favorite color. The color of your house. The color of your favorite shirt, dress.

You can write me in English, Spanish or Russian. If you do not speak any of those, just write on your mother tongue in capital letters, and I will translate. Anyway, I will feel your mood.

Looking forward to your stories!
