About Katherine...

Hello Postcrossing world.
I am interested in this project because of the positive potential of people connecting in this friendly way, and I love sending and receiving mail including postcards!
I found out about Postcrossing from my sister.

I strive to be an artist and hope to make the world better in some small way. Really concerned about our natural environment, I hope for the best.

I live in a comfortable old house with my husband and two dogs. We've lived here in the same house since 1980. We have two kids but they are grown and living on their own now. They are 23 and 28 years old, no grandchildren yet.
We have lots of big old trees in our yard, it is really a shady and green oasis in hot weather.
I am lucky to live in a place that is near the ocean, the mountains, large forests and desert lands, all within a few hours travel, there is so much geographical diversity in the Pacific Northwest.

While puttering around in my backyard I like to listen to podcasts and music. I used to focus on what was on the earth around me and look up only if there was something unusual going on but lately I spend a lot of time noticing the sky. It is almost always beautiful.

I enjoy watching movies. I especially love foreign movies and seeing other cultures and places in films. (suggestions are most welcome)

I am embarrassed to admit that I am not bilingual. The whole world seems to be multi- lingual these days. I have tried several times in my life to study spanish but have not made great progress with it. However I have not given up and I might keep trying. I can read music.

I love to see all the different stamps of the world too!

And I really appreciate your messages. If you can't think of anything to write just briefly describe or list one or more things that you experienced, saw or heard this week, things that you will remember.

I scan all the cards I receive into the postcrossing site so don't worry about it if you can't. There are so many interesting images traveling around the world through postcrossing.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.
