My name is Norma. I am a philosophy student in Sydney, Australia. I spend most of my time procrastinating from studies by writing mail, playing with fountain pens, crafting, trying to grow herbs and vegies on my sunless balcony garden and dreaming of my next hiking trip.
I would love cards to add to my collections, namely:
-literary cards (of books, authors, quotes, philosophers, illustrations of classics, musicians, famous thinkers, universities)
-cards related to studying
-fountain pens, calligraphy, ink & writerly things
-cards related to gardening
-unesco world hertiage sites
-language and alphabet cards
-rock and roll, punk, riotgrrl, skulls & skeletons
-feminist things (warrior women!)
-space related cards
-Postallove Greetings from... cards
I also like:
-arts (preferably theoretical, postmodern, feminist, fantasy and surrealist, but also classical and modern art)
-puzzles, ambiguity, paradoxes
-shows and games I like include- tank girl, invader zim, adventure time, history channel's vikings, one piece, studio ghibli, the new marvel multiverse francahise, xmen, resident evil, hunger games, zelda, archer, portlandia & animal crossing
I would really card of: Bentham's panopticon, Wittgenstein's duck rabbit, any philosopher portraits (esp Foucault, Derrida, Walter Benjamin, Deleuze) and anything related to Herman Melville or William Shakespeare.
I don't particularly like multiview cards or free/ad cards but I would love to receive a tastefully handmade card from you.
I love postcards stamped and sent with your messages on them (but you can also send them in envelopes if you really want).
If you don't know what to write, you can tell me about the card you sent, tell me about something you saw, write me a story, draw me a picture, ask me a rhetorical question, tell me something you find wierd, or even pretend you're the last survivor of a shipwreck and this is your only chance to send your words out into the world! (I would probably be the last person anyone would use as their last point of contact but you know, the possiblities are endless...)
I will really appreciate anything you send me and can't wait to read your message!
I've been trying to learn French and German - you can write to me in french if you like, but my german is not so great.
Les francophones: si vous voulez, vous pouvez m'écrire en français. J'aimerais pratiquer mon français!
Thank you in advance & Happy Postcrossing!
