About Nicole...

Hello! I've studied Spanish, Italian and German for five years but this was long ago. I was able to put in practice these languages when I worked for the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal as a long distance operator for the athletes. I just loved my experience. I still have this passion for foreign languages and different cultures. I don't have the chance to practice those languages any more so my understanding is very very poor, so please avoid writing to me in German, unless you translate for me. After, I worked in a publishing company for 15 years for specialized and popular magazines.
Then, I had my 2 beautiful children and I chose to be a stay at home mom for a good while. They are now adults and have nice jobs and we're very very proud of them.
Afterwards, I've started to work as a school supervisor at lunchtime in elementary schools and I also did tutoring at primary level for kids who have academic dfficulties. I enjoyed doing these 2 jobs for a few hours a day. I love to be around kids; they keep you young and alert. But I'm now a new retired lady.
My hobbies are reading, taï-chi and exercices that help me to keep a mental and physical sanity, line dancing, oil painting, crochet, doing cross words, viewing films, listening different styles of music and I love to visit museums. I love playing board games, particularly Scrabble. I have a girlfriend who is a great competitor. We could spend hours playing different games together whenever we have time to spare. I also have a collection of elephants of all colors and sizes. I like to believe that they bring me Luck because I consider to have a wonderful life so far.
My husband and I love to take car rides and visit new regions and we like doing camping because we get to travel around and be in a natural environment.
I had the chance to visit Europe in 1979 when I finished my studies. It was a student exchange for 2 whole months. I just loved my first experience!
In 2013, my husband and I went on an organized trip in France and in Italy in a motorhome. Another fantastic trip!
Our dream was fulfilled a few years ago and we went to visit the out west sector of Canada where the Rockies Mountains are and other wonderful hidden areas. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary then.
My wishes for the future is to learn and own a piano maybe.
It's now your turn to let me know about you! I'm curious! It will be a pleasure to read about your every-day life and culture.
Any kind of postcard will make me smile. I make a collection of postcards. I enjoy this sharing so much!! Have a Happy life!
