Hi - I'm Nicky. I'm new to Postcrossing and really looking forward to receiving some great cards and learning more about all the fantastic people and places out there!

Especially looking for the inspiration to travel to some 'off the beaten track' locations - and perhaps discover a few hidden gems in more well known places.

I'm really into history (I'm a 'living history' volunteer - re-enacting 16th century crafts and activities for school parties and the general public). I love rock, blues and folk music, adore cooking and I'm currently learning the ukulele. Postcard images I'm particularly keen on:

- Ukuleles (never seen one on a postcard - a challenge for you!)
- Old-style travel, advertising or theatre posters
- Unusual post-boxes (odd shapes, colours or locations)
- Handmade & homemade cards
- Anything by the artist Escher

BUT - please don't be confined by the above list. Surprise me and show me your world; pictures of places or things that are special to you (tell me a bit about them).

I live in Suffolk (one of the counties that makes up the UK region of 'East Anglia'), and my career background is in PR and marketing; but thinking of a change. Just not sure what yet...
