About Ellen...
I'm a happily married woman with five cats and a backyard that has lots of lilac and a huge old sassafras tree. I spend hours sitting under that tree, watching the sparrows build their nests.
What else do I love? Art and movies.
My parents took me to the Philadelphia Museum of Art when I was five years old and it changed my life. Now, any time I move to a new city, the first thing I do is find the museum. I have a special passion for Dutch Masters, along with photographers like Berenice Abbott or the anonymous souls who took those early-1900s postcard photographs. Do you ever wonder who they were? I sure do.
The movies I'm currently raving about (in no particular order):
--Museum Hours
--Full Time
--Tallulah
If you're a movie buff too, great. Let's talk. What quirky film do you recommend? What was your favorite scene and why? I still miss the days when people had to actually go to a movie theater...
PLEASE NOTE: To me, the best part of a postcard is the message. Postcrossing is all about connection, right?, so let's connect! Please take the extra time to say something personal and real :) For example, I'd love to hear:
*What work of art (book, poem, painting) has had a lasting impact on you?
*How did your pet(s) get their name(s)?
*What's the latest news in your neighborhood: anyone adopt a dog, get a parking ticket, plant daffodils?
*What do you like best & least about getting older?
Thanks so much for writing!
