My name is Ornella, but I prefer Nella like my friends use to call me.
I'm a young woman who live not far from Disneyland, and because I'm a big fan I often drag my boyfriend there ^^ (He grumbles but I'm sure he likes that).
I work in a antiquarian bookshop in Paris (BEST JOB EVER). My all life was always full of books, it's like drugs. So I can't imagine a beeter job than mine, which consists to spend my days with precious antique books and manuscripts.
When I'm not with my lettered babies ^^, I'm first-aider volunteer at the Red-Cross. This engagement is very important to me, and I think that, since I started it, my life is very different, better I can say.
I'm also volunteer in an association which takes care about abandoned cats. We treat, neuter and place them in a new family... And above all we love them and give them trust in humans again !
Obviously, I'm a BIG BIG reader ! I cannot imagine to spend a day without a book, it's really a necessity. Music is also essential for me, and in the most cases I read and listen to music at the same time ! It's an extraordinary way to travel and cut off the world around.
I'm also an art fan : sculptures, photographs, paintings, jewelries... I love any kind of art and spend lot of time (and money ^^) in museums ! And fortunately, Paris is a wonderful city for the art lovers !
In my spare time (or at least what remains), I really like to do something with my hands : cooking, baking, knitting, sewing, scrap-booking and many others things ! I'm a really jack of all trades (:
My big dream (except to have my own antiquarian bookshop) is to travel ! Is not very original but I'm very curious, and discover other cultures, ways of thinking, traditions... seems to be the best manner to learn about life ! Travel is well known to broaden the mind...
I like every king of postcards (except touristic multiviews) but my favourite are :
- artistic cards with drawings or paintings,
- black and white photographs,
- books or libraries,
- mail boxes,
- old school pin-up,
- musical instruments, especially violin, double bass, saxophone...
or something you would like to receive.
I certainly forget lot of things that I would like to receive, but the most important is that you take pleasure to send me few words. If you really don't know what you can say to me, tell me about the book you are reading or about a book that you love, so I will discover new books =)
Please send me your cards without envelope.
Hopefully to read you !
PS: If you speak Spanish, Italian, German or French of course, you can write me in these languages.
