About Les...

I have lived in Fort Collins, Colorado for the last 39 years, and am very fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of the country.

My main hobby is photography, especially 3-D photography. I also enjoy photographing landscapes, buildings, sculptures, and wildlife. All of my photos (take a look at my sent cards) are available for free under a Creative Commons 4.0 License, just send me a message and I'll be glad to send you a full-resolution photo. It absolutely makes my day when someone tags a postcard I sent as a favorite. (I only send commercially printed cards.) (No worries if someone only wants commercial cards. I have many, many to choose from to send.)

I am fascinated by all animals, but most particularly by reptiles and amphibians, and I collect stereoviews of reptiles and amphibians.

I'm also fascinated by ancient history, and spend a lot of time photographing ancient American ruins and rock art. I have commercially printed postcards of some of my favorite photos of local animals, buildings, rock art, and landscapes, and hope I can find some postcrossers who will enjoy receiving them.

Some of my favorite subjects are: (these are suggestions, not requests, and certainly NOT demands)
- travel, history, art, museums, maps (especially old maps)
- wildlife (funny animals are always welcome) and scenery
- anything underground : caves, tunnels, mines, subways, etc.
- I like beer
- books/comics/graphic novels
- astronomy/space, space flight, astronauts and cosmonauts
- live music
- dogs (We've had Rhodesian Ridgebacks, a Husky, a Boxer, and we recently rescued a beautiful super-mutt (a mix of 16 breeds) named Lucy.)

I welcome any and all cards, and appreciate the effort that is put into choosing or making the card (I love personal photo cards and handmade cards), and telling me a bit about yourself or your part of the world in the message, and I really, really like seeing all the beautiful photos. Cards showing places that I haven't been (yet) or may never see, really make my day.

There are two people connected to each postcard mailed, and your preferences and interests are every bit as important as mine, so feel free to send me cards you love.

Like many people here, I collect stamps, and love seeing all the very different stamps from every country. Also, I'm more than happy to swap postcards and/or unused stamps, just send me a message. I'm also happy to trade beer coasters/caps/labels and tea bags.

I also want to note that my wife has really enjoyed seeing all the postcards that you have sent.

Thank you

P.S. I don't want to be preachy, but please donate blood and save lives.
