Helllo my name is Nancy. I live in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the Great Lakes State. Kalamazoo is half way between Detroit and Chicago.
I love Lake Michigan. Lake Michigan's water surface is 22,300 square miles. Lake Michigan touches Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin. Chicago is at the lake’s southernmost point, and Milwaukee is located on the southwestern shore of the lake. The pebble-shaped Petoskey stone, which is a fossilized coral, is unique to the northern Michigan shores of Lake Michigan and is the state stone. During the summer months I like rock and beach glass hunting on Lake Michigan. I make jewelry out of items I find at the lake.
