About Nadine...

Update: i would love to hear a bit about the covid 19 situation on your side first hand if you don't mind. If you rather want to forget and writecabout cheerier stuff, do so. Stay healthy!

Hallo!

When I signed up here I felt like (an honest) „I am happy with any card“ would be easiest for you (the senders) but I soon realized that I actually like specific wishes/ ideas in the profiles of people I get to send a card to. It actually is the best bit of Postcrossing for me, finding just the right card in my stash for a new person.

So here are a few things I really love:

Update: Got a really odd and quirky card, something you put away for a weird request? Here I am, asking for the strangest card in your stash!

Animals: Whales, penguins, dogs, hedgehogs,
Touristy: Anything that is typical for your city/ country
Food: I love seeing typical food from your side (being a vegan I don't really care that much for seeing meat (just something that happened over the years, the longer it is that I ate it, the less I wanna see it) but if it is a bit hidden I am totally fine with it.
Coffee: ( I put that as a seperate section from „food“.) I love coffee. Drinking it, preparing it and seeing pictures of it, if it is done in a special scenery or way that is typical for your part of the earth... yes, that is a card I would love to find in my mailbox.
Landscapes: foggy sceneries... nice beaches... typical farms or buildings in the open nature...
Art: I love Frida Kahlo, Monet, Klimt, Impressionism as a whole but also bright colours.
I also have a thing for starry skies and northern lights, I love books, tea, running and yoga, fountain pens...

Oh and I love stamps, I could never bring myself to peel them off the cards I receive as that would destroy them in my eyes even if I manage to do it super carefully. But I love looking at them, they often tell a story about the country too (like what is important enough to be put on a stamp), so nice stamps would be a plus!

I love hearing a bit about you, like what food you love, something that made you smile the day you are writing the card, something you did or plan to do, just something that gives me an idea about the way things are on your side. Seen any good movie recently? Read a good book (recommendations are always welcome)?

I also grew to enjoy seeing the date, weather and temperature on the card, it gives me an idea about your conditions on the other side if that makes sense. Plus it is just really interesting to see, some of the low temperatures in Russia left me stunned in Winter!

Love hearing from you,
Nadine
