About Niels...

السلام عليكم

A friend told me about this great project so I immediately had to check it out, because I really enjoy sending postcards.

What to write me? It would be fantastic if you could answer the following 3 questions for me, in order to get a little insight in the life of the person who adresses me:
1]. What have you done yesterday?
2]. What are you doing today/what have you done today?
3]. What are your plans for tomorrow?
Thanks for the effort!

Let me tell you something about myself. My name is Niels, 23 years old, living and studying in the beautiful city of Nijmegen, in the east of the Netherlands. Nijmegen is officially the oldest city in the Netherlands. I am very interested in Islamic culture and the Arabic language. Therefore I'm studying Islamology at Radboud University. Travelling is my biggest passion, mostly through (Eastern) Europe, because Europe has got so much to offer. I like the Middle East as well (Egypt, Morocco etc). Three summers ago, I visited the United States (NY, CA, NV, UT, AZ) with my parents and 2 younger brothers for the first time. We've had a wonderful time over there.

Countries I visited so far: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Morocco, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States.

Greetings from Nijmegen, the Netherlands!

PS) I'm not picky at all, but I'd rather not receive ad-card, handmade or cartoon cards. I prefer postcards without envelope. I don't care if postcards get a bit damaged on their way to my mailbox, because it is a nice reminder of the journey it has made. :) Oh, and: if you send me a tourist card (which is great by the way), please send me a card of your own country. (For example: If you are from Finland please do not send a postcard showing Paris or New York.)
PS2) I don't register postcards that never reached my mailbox... Sorry, but it happens to all of us that sometimes postcards won't arrive. I consider it 1 of the charms of international mail. :-)
