NLAD

Hello. I live on an island in the San Juan Islands, off the coast of Washington State, USA. On a map, the San Juan Islands are located in the Puget Sound between Bellingham, Washington, USA and Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. To get here, I take a ferry that departs from Anacortes, Washington, which is why I picked "Anacortes" as the closest map location in my profile.

I am interested in receiving philatelic (stamp-related) items--especially postcards where the picture on the postcard is related to the picture on the stamp in some way, or else the cancel is related to the picture. I am especially eager to receive so-called "maximaphily" which is when all three are related: The picture on the postcard, the cancel, and a stamp are all related in some way. I also collect antique and vintage postcards; and have a specialized collection of Mr. Zip items (including selvages) and other Mr. Zip ephemera, in addition to stamps and cards.

Or, if you just want to have fun, attach (paste or tape) something local onto the card (a bus or train ticket, a park or museum pass, a leaf, an extra used stamp or two ...)

Whatever you do, I am trying to collect at least one stamp from every country in the world, which makes pretty much anything from anywhere a welcome addition to my growing collection!
