About Michelle...

Hello there!

I hope you are staying healthy and happy during this crazy time. The spread of COVID-19 has really impacted so many in so many different ways. I am now fully vaccinated and back to traveling a bit. It is nice to get back to a semblance of normal.

My heart is with the people of Ukraine, especially the 37 people from whom I have received postcards. My heart is also with the many Postcrossers in Russia who I know are as sad as I am. All Postcrossers become a part of my world (and my family) when you write to me. My heart breaks when war and natural disasters impact any of you. Stay safe, be well and continue to be the best we have on this planet.

About me:

I love meeting people from all over the world and currently spend time in both Spain and the United States. I was a Tour Gude at Disneyland in California. and I spent my days taking visitors, from all over the World, around Disneyland, a place I truly love. I retired on February 29th 2020 (just before Covid) after 20 years. I hope to travel to many of the places I have received postcards from over the past 10 years at Postcrossing. When in Spain, I send a postcard from San Lorenzo de El Escorial where I live part-time. When I was age 13 (until 21), I lived here with my family due to my father’s job. I fell in love with the town and the people and I feel very fortunate to be able to be back as an adult. I hope to soon be able to travel more around Europe and other countries. If your card is in transit when I am traveling, there might be a delay to register. If you notice this, please send me a message and I will ask my friend to double check my mailbox.

My favorite postcards are the photographs of buildings, scenes and culture from around the world. I also enjoy when you write in the languages I have studied: Portuguese, Italian, French, German and Russian. I currently use Duolingo on a daily basis and practice all those languages (and more!). I am getting much better at understanding and it is fun!

Happy sharing! Stay healthy!
Michelle
