I have been collecting postcards since I was a child and am very excited to find this site! This year I received my 1000th postcard and it still makes me happy to find postcards in my mailbox.
I teach Health in a high school. I have three dogs, three very bad finches and a parrotlet who thinks he is a Pterodactyl. In 2014 we fostered Chika and failed. In 2018 we fostered Obi and failed. Being a foster fail means you end up adopting your foster dog. Both are black and tan Shiba Inus. Chika is small and Obi is big and they are both waiting for treats. 😉 In August I flew to Arkansas and picked up my puppy. She is a cream Shiba Inu and her name is Rosie! She is the cutest puppy ever.
My hobbies are reading, playing with beads, sending postcards and bullet journaling. I love the beach, Shiba Inus, feathers and birds.
On August 3rd there was a shooting in El Paso, Texas. The Walmart is about a mile from the school where I used to teach. This hit close to home. There have been many social media posts about acts of kindness to counteract the evil. I came across a post requesting postcards and thought that Postcrossers are the kind of people who would like to spread more kindness. There are three teachers requesting postcards to let their students know there is good in this world. If you would like to participate the addresses are:
4500 Clifton Avenue
El Paso, Texas 79903
Tom Lea Elementary
4851 Marcus Uribe Drive
El Paso, Texas 79934
901 South Campbell
El Paso, Texas 79901
Thank you for your kindness. ❤️
I appreciate every postcard sent. I am looking forward to getting mail from all around the world. 😊 Thank you!
