About Carol...

Hello,
I have been collecting postcards since I was a child and I am still happy to find another postcard in my mailbox, so thank you in advance. I love discovering the things we have in common and learning about our wonderful world.

I have three dogs. In 2014 we fostered Chika and failed. In 2018 we fostered Obi and failed. Being a foster fail means you end up adopting your foster dog. Both are black and tan Shiba Inus. Chika is small and Obi is big and they are both waiting for treats. 😉 Because of their sizes, we tested their DNA. We learned not only that they are 100% Shiba, but they are also related. They are as closely related as an uncle and niece. In August, 2019 I flew to Arkansas and picked up my puppy. She is a cream Shiba Inu and her name is Rosie! She is my sassy, outspoken sidekick.

My hobbies are reading, beading (snowflakes are my current obsession - check out my teacher’s website: www.bloomingbeadworks.com), sending postcards and bullet journaling. I just got a new sewing machine and have tried my hand at making fabric postcards. I would love your tips or suggestions if you have successfully made fabric postcards. I would also love handmade postcards. I have received some truly lovely cards and I appreciate your effort.

I teach Health Education in a high school. We are back to normal whatever that means. I am so glad to be able to spend my days with my students.

If you need postcard suggestions - I love the beach, Shiba Inus, birds, dragonflies and butterflies. I have also had requests for postcards I have never seen. Do you have a postcard of a frog (Received! Thanks to Monfeu!! And Ughandi!!!), beer (Received! Thanks to DariaBakhtar!!) bubble tea, a dinosaur (Thanks to Angelthepup22 for the postcard and stamp and to kemuno for another dinosaur card!!!), a clematis (Received! Thanks to SimonGardner!!!), a pig (Received! Thanks to PostkartenLoverin and Rema!!!), 70's book covers (Received! Thanks to jclarke55!!!), an umbrella (Received! Thanks to Rotfuchs and HippieHeart!!), fountain pens or vintage food containers (Thanks to GeorgiainGreece for an up cycled version!!!) Please prove to me that these postcards exist.😊 I have one more special request - I love the postcards created by Alexia Clare. I have rock pools and seaweed. If you have one of her others, I would be very appreciative. My favorites list is a mix of cards I have received and cards I would like. If you don't have a card that fits my list, don't worry about it. There are so many wonderful cards out there that I haven't seen yet. 😊

If you need a suggestion about what to write:
* What have you done recently that was kind? I asked this question last year and there are some wonderfully kind Postcrossers out there. Thanks for sharing your stories. Hearing about kindness makes every day better.
* What are you thankful for today?
* What book would you recommend?

So, thank you. Peace!
