Hello stranger and a warm welcome to my profile!

My name is Chantal and I'm a 24 year old student from the Netherlands. I live in the city Zwolle with my boyfriend James, our two turtles Cinnamon & Cacoa and our house rabbit Stevie.

I am studying Communication Science at the Windesheim University of Professional Education. It is a half hour bike ride from home to school, which I find relaxed, unless it is raining. Communication is a very interesting study, which fits well with my previous study to Graphic Designer. I like design (Architecture and jewelry design), art (visiting musea and theatre shows) and history (especially the French Revolution). I also love reading books. So it is no coincidence that I work in a bookstore myself.

Being creative is very important to me. I really love to draw, on paper with paint and ink but also digital like in Adobe Illustrator. Sadly I do not have much time lately, my study takes a lot of time. That is one of the reasons why I like Postcrossing. It does not take very much time, but I like to be creative with every card I send. I try to make each card colourful and hope you smile when you recieve one! I do a layer of plastic on my postcards so the ink will never get ruined.

If you send me a postcard, please make a little note of the date (when you write the card) and the weather. Write about everything you like. If you really want a suggestion, I always love to know why people chose the postcard they send to me.

I don't collect cards, but these kind of cards I like:

- Illustrations
I love to illustrate myself. Maybe you can send a card with an illustration you like or maybe even made yourself?

- Books and stories
I love reading. Books are great, especially fairy tale books. I also love Disney stories.

- Celebrations
Around my birthday at the end of September I LOVE birthdaycards. But all around the year I think cards with celebrations are really cool. If you have a special celebration day or holiday in your culture which you really love, I would like to know more about it!

- Funny postcards
Humor is important to me. A good laugh can really make my day. If you know a good joke, you can write it too if you like!

- Self-made
Some people do not like to receive cards selfmade, but I do. It shows that someone made it with passion, and I find that beautiful.
