I love to people watch and make up a story of who the person is and what their life is like. I enjoy seeing the inside of people's living spaces through windows especially if there is a cat. The idea that everyone you see has complex inner lives is fascinating.

I love the idea that when you get assigned an address you get to spend a little time learning about the person. What card might they like, and what tidbits will I share on the back. It's like a brief intimacy.

I've had three big career changes in my life. I went to culinary and worked as a chef for a few years. I was ultimately unhappy in that job but left with a passion for cooking and experiencing new foods. I went back to school and got a degree in photography and it is my great passion in life. I did freelancing for awhile. Then when things got serious with my fiancee who is a truck driver I took a crazy leap and learned to drive truck so we could work together and travel the country. We live fulltime on our truck and go all over the USA. It's quite a different (and sometimes difficult) lifestyle and we've made some sacrifices to get here but now I feel like we are living life intentionally.

I push myself to take one photo a day that I'm happy with. This forces me to search for interest and beauty in the mundane. I may not love the photo of the day but my heart is better for having spent the day looking for it.
