Hello, Postcrossing friends!

Before I share my profile, PLEASE, PLEASE do NOT forget to put your card ID clearly on the card you send. I have received cards in the past with NO ID number which makes it a problem to register.Thank you.

I live in Winchester, in the northern part of the USA State of Virginia, not far from the beautiful Shenandoah National Park. This places me about 75 miles (120 km.) from Washington, DC, the USA's capital. To see my area, go to www.visitwinchesterva.com or to www.nps.gov/shen/ to take a tour of Shenandoah National Park.

I am single and enjoy travelling. I have visited 17 countries, so far all in Europe (plus Canada and Mexico) but now that I am retired from my work, I hope to visit more of this world's exciting and beautiful places.

Oh, yes, my avatar!! This is my girl friend's 14 year old Shih Tzu named Tinkerbell. She has travelled all over the United States with us and is very well behaved and quite intelligent. In fact, she is a PhD - - Playful, happy, Dog (PhD). =))

A side note - Tinkerbell has been "seen" by 89 Postcrossing friends in 27 countries so far. Will your country be next? She is on a mission to be a world famous dog, one country at a time !!

My hobbies include stamp collecting, travelling, photography, and reading. I am an active member of my church and volunteer on their video team. We live-stream the church service over the internet (www.wincog.com) which allows the world to view our worship service every Sunday morning.

I would like, if possible, postcards that show what your part of the world is like. Every card will be welcome with great joy because it will allow me to see through your eyes what other places are like.

C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-I-O-N !! Today 13 October 2016 I send out my 100th Postcrossing card. It went to Japan.
M-O-R-E C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-I-O-N- !! Today 22 April 2017 I send out my 200th card! It went to Brazil.
K-E-E-P C-E-L-B-R-A-T-I-N-G-!! Today 28 September 2017 I send out my 300th card to Finland.
F-U-R-T-H-E-R C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-I-N-G-!! Today 28 February 2018 I send out my 400th card to Japan.
B-I-G C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-I-O-N It is 5 June 2018 and card number 500 was sent to Germany!!
H-A-P-P-Y C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-I-O-N - !! On 6 October 2018 Card number
600 went out to Russia !!
We are now going onward to 700 cards!
Update - April, 2021 - - - Over 1,100 cards now out to Postcrossing friends everywhere. The total continues to grow.
