Hello!

I'm a 38-year-old Finnish woman living in a suburb of our capital Helsinki. I live with my black cat whom I adore, even when she's being a rascal;) Because of health issues I´m unable to work at the moment, but I studied history and political science at University and used to work as a researcher. Most of all I love reading - everything from scifi & detective stories to poetry and historical novels. Lots of non-fiction, too (history & biographies, newspapers, magazines like Nat. Geographic). I also like listening to music and talk radio, and watching interesting TV programmes (series, documentaries, current affairs...)

Other things I enjoy include photography, cycling, long walks outdoors, and visiting libraries, museums and art exhibitions. Postcrossing is my newest hobby, which has also rekindled my interest for collecting stamps and postcards. (I collect books too, and they already take up so much space I should only buy more if I take some of the old ones out!)

I will be happy to receive any card you'd like or find interesting yourself. Most important is that you also write something more than just greetings - the message is what makes your card unique! It can be about what's in the card or why you chose it, or you can tell me about a good book, movie, musician or your work & hobbies. If your native language is Swedish, German, French or Russian, feel free to write in it (I can read these languges and try to learn more). Please add the date and place of writing!
