Hi! I'm Mari. I live in a one of the most beautiful cities in Russia — Saint-Petersburg, together with my husband and our black cat Jack.

I'm a freelance graphic designer and an illustrator, trying to make the world around a bit more beautiful and comfortable.

As you can guess from my profession, I love art. My favourite directions are Dutch and Flemish Renaissance painting, Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, Pre-Raphaelites, Art Nouveau and Russian avant-garde. I'm also interested in children and botanical illustration of all periods and artists.

The best way to charge my battery after work and make my head straight is to wonder trough the streets of my favorite city without any route, to find something new and to learn history of the places I pass by. Also summer night bicycle trips with my husband are ♡!

I enjoy nature and have my little home garden which become bigger and bigger each year. I dream about a country house with the big garden some day.

I love reading books and my favorite writer is Feodor Dostoevsky, he is a true genius for me. I can speak for hours about him, so that I wouldn't continue :) If you are fond of Dostoevsky too, tell me!

I'm also interested in science, history, human anatomy and physiology, and medicine.

I'm a crazy cat lady and only thanks to my dear husband, our home hasn't yet turned into one big cat shelter :)

My life goal is to find my little piece of harmony, kindness and love in this big crazy world. I'll be very glad to meet here the same seekers.
