Hello everyone...

My name is Missy, a 34 year old writer and new stay-at-home mommy. My family just moved from Texas back to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, happily back home where much of our extended families live. My immediate family includes my husband Joey, our 19 month old Tallulah Rose, and Da Boomba/Diddy, the black cat we've had for over 12 years...

I have been crazy about postcards for more than half of my life, so when I stumbled across Postcrossing I was thrilled to have an excuse to dig my arsenal of postcards out and use some of them. My old bedroom had a postcard border all around the ceiling... I love them all.

To me what is written in that tiny little space is just as important as the image on the front of the card. Tell me what you are doing or thinking this very moment, or in the past hour, or describe the details of your day... What will you do later today? Tell me your secrets, or your random thoughts, or whatever you want. I'm more interested in hearing about who you are, than about where you are from. (Although that's very interesting, too!)

My travels have taken me all over the United States on many, many road trips. I've visited nearly every single of the 50 states, but I've only spent an hour or two in Mexico, and made it to the Canadian border but not inside Canada... For now, postcards are my world travel.

Send me the random postcard you've saved forever, the one with the image you love but have never quite found the right person or occasion to use. Perhaps you secretly wished you'd received it yourself.

Some of my more specific interests include:
-Writing, reading, journaling, cut-ups, poetry... the literary arts
-ART, collages, mixed-media, street art, stencils, Bob Ross, Mucha, cartoons, steampunk, pin-up art and erotica, Mail-art with rubber stamps, and of course interesting postage stamps
-Maps, foreign currency
-geographical and natural oddities, flowers, forests, trees, mountains, the moon and stars, rivers...
-Weird castles and ruins
-Cards depicting where you're from, touristy or not
-More extreme weather: scary tornadoes, lightning and rain storms, snow, fog, gray skies... I hate summertime heat! Give me fall and winter
-Books, especially children's books now that I have one...
-Coffee, wine, chocolate, cigarettes, whisky, water
-Music (all of it)
-New age stuff: tarot, astrology, runes (my parents were hippies)
-Magic, my own and fictional depictions of, ie: Harry Potter
-Gypsies, Gogol Bordello, punk
-Mythology and fantasy, mythological creatures like Unicorns
-Domestic and big wild cats, horses, butterflies, hummingbirds, owls, bears, foxes, peacocks, wolves
-All flowers but especially roses
-Weird/funny/dark/strange cards, as well as holiday cards

No mail days are Sad days, and I am thrilled by every single postcard I might ever receive. Thank you in advance!
