About Laia...

I'm Laia and I'm from Barcelona, Spain.
I love travelling. I've been living in London for 3 months and a half in order to do my internship as a primary school teacher.
I've been to: France (Paris and Lyon), Germany (Mannheim, Frankfurt, Köln, Bonn, Freiburg and Munich), Austria (Salzburg), Andorra, UK (London, Cambridge, Oxford, Canterbury, Stonehenge, Bath, Surrrey, Devon, Edinburgh, Loch Ness, Greenwich meridian), Switzerland (Geneve and Bern), The Netherlands (Maastricht).

Barcelona is famous for its mediterranean food such as "pà amb tomàquet" (bread with tomatoe), paella (rice with shellfish) and "patatas bravas" (potatoes with a spicy sauce which I love).

I have a dog: Gilbert (Mini Pinscher).

My favourite actress is Julie Andrews, I met her the 2nd of November 2019 in London :) Dreams come true!!! :D
My favourite movies are Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music (I visited Salzburg, the city where this movie was filmed).

When I was young I loved to watch old TV series such as Little House on the Prairie, Anne of Green Gables, Heidi, Pippi Langstrump..

I love origami, painting, creating figures with clay and I used to do cross-stitch. For birthdays, I try to give something made by me as a present.

One of my favourite quotes is: "If you can dream it, you can do it" from Walt Disney.
I love idioms and I use them a lot in my daily life. The one that I use the most is: "No hay mal que por bien no venga" which can be equivalent to: "Every cloud has a silver lining".

I would really appreciate if you write me expressions or famous idioms from your country (with translation) I am curious about this!
If you add some stickers I will be very happy :)
A ticket from the cinema, supermarket, public transport or whatever would be nice to see!

Thank you very much for taking a little bit of your time to write a postcard!
Take care
