About Kayla...

Hi amazing Postcrossers! My name is Kayla, I am in my early 30's and live in London.

I love books, wine, history, jewellery and sparkly clothes (sequins!), Lana Del Rey, coffee, bubble tea, spicy food, anything durian-flavoured (though sadly not durian itself!) and, to make up for my food and drinks obsession, exercise (running, yoga and gym). I also like to be outdoors, but as a city person, that usually means walking around exploring new areas or reading in the park rather than any grand adventures...

You can also visit me on Instagram @miccaellah to see pictures of when I do get out of the house :)

I am not very picky in terms of postcards - I am most interested in postcards with the following themes:

*** different places in the world, both current and historic (where you live, or maybe somewhere you went on a trip recently!)

*** ports, docks, shipyards, ships - including themes like tankers, cargo ships, battleships etc. (both current and historic)

*** black and white / vintage

*** industrial themes (factories, machines, industrial landscapes)

*** fashion / clothing / accessories (both current and historic)

*** DE friends - wherever in Germany you are from, if you have any cards of the Welthuhr am Alexanderplatz in Berlin, please send them my way! I first learned about it from a Postcrosser some years ago and finally managed to visit in May 2019, and I absolutely loved it!

*** NL friends - I love the works of Dutch painters across centuries and would love to get cards showing these works :)

... but I am also curious to see what other kinds of cards you consider interesting! The only request I would make is not to receive any postcards of babies / children, if that's OK.

/**/ I prefer to receive cards written and stamped :)

If you don't know what to write, I would be curious to hear your opinion on the best and the worst thing about the place where you live :) Or tell me what your song of the moment is, I am always looking for new music inspiration!

I look forward to receiving the undoubtedly amazing card you have picked for me! Thank you!
