Hi! My name is Michaela and I have lived all my life in my hometown, Ostrava, which is the third largest city in the Czech Republic and a very industrial one. I am a philosophy major at the local university and I really hope to pursue an academic career in the future, since I've always been fascinated by all the various ways in which philosophy can completely transform your worldview and I could talk about certain philosophical problems for hours.

If I happen to have spare time, I love reading thought-provoking non-fiction or just a simple novel as a well-deserved escape from reality. My to-read list is already longer than what I probably will be able to read in my lifetime.

I'd love to receive tourist postcards from your country. They might be showing something typical of your country, famous monuments, cities, UNESCO, religious buildings, nature... I am also fond of map cards if you come across them. I prefer my cards written and stamped.
