Hello you unknown person to me,
my name is Michael and I live with my daughter and my wife in Darmstadt / Germany.

I am retired and go to the gym regularly so that my belly doesn't get the upper hand. I enjoy music and theatre, I am also active in the choir and amateur theatre.

I am happy to receive any kind of mail and have no particular preferences. Please don't stress, I'm interested in what you like, I've known me and my country for many years, but I don't know you and your country very well.

My hobby is photography, that's why I mostly send homemade postcards. It's the best way to introduce my city and country to my recipients (www.augenschmaus.photos).

I have actually been Postcrossing since 2009, but had taken a break in the last few years. Now my daughter (16) has discovered Postcrossing for herself and is totally enthusiastic. This has prompted me to revive my inactive account and we are crossing the world together.

If at the beginning I was most happy to receive mail, now I am also happy about every new contact, about every profile and about the joy of choosing something suitable for this person I don't know. When the recipient is happy about my mail or even chooses one of my cards as a favourite, I feel like a king and know that I have done it right.

In the meantime, my lovely wife also joins in and now three people send and receive mail every day from all over the world. What we used to spend on holidays and leisure time, we now put into cards and postage and get to almost every country in the world.
