About Aleksandra...

Big warm hello from the far-far-away northern city behind the Polar Circle Murmansk!

I'm a bioecologist working at WWF Barents as a biodiversity project coordinator (nature protection, conferences, lots of communication).

My nickname was taken after the famous Laws of Life - Murphy's law (very tricky I might add) – its name in Russian is read something like Merfee, so it changed into Merfia, and you know it became a talisman and a lot of funny things happened after I took it.

Hobbies include handcrafting, playing board games, anime, cosplay, reading interesting stuff, travelling, diving (I've been studying PADI courses for some time and now I'm a rescue diver) and whatever that makes me and other people Smile.
Postcrossing is an amazing hobby in our crazy electronic time. It helps to slow down the tempo a little and gives incredible feelings to write-decorate-send and get the live card in your post box.

If you don't know what to write, I’ll be very glad if you send me a receipt you like to cook and eat! Or just write something about your everyday life. Ideas of my postcard wishes are in my favourites :)

This 2023 year postcard challenge is Steampunk art, just in case you have one ;) - You could check my collection if you wish.

I have no preferences about the envelope, but, please, write the date on your postcard and it's better to double Postcrossing code in different corners, nobody knows what could happen to the postcard on its way. The return address label on every postcard I send is for safety's sake too.

Happy Postcrossing and thank you for your postcards!

Have a Day :)
