About Mercar...

I really love nature, especially animals. Mostly the animals who aren't considered cute by most people: AMPHIBIANS, spiders, insects, reptiles, rodents, owls etc. I am herpetologist by profession.
I love nature photography, colour green, knitting, fantasy literature and Lily of the Valley flowers.

Postcards I'd love to receive:
* I love cards with botanical or zoological illustrations (like detailed drawings in old books)
* I love cards with WILD animal photos (e.g not pets, not animals with clothes on...)
* I love cards with wildflowers
* UNESCO World Heritage Sites are interesting, especially natural heritage sites!
* I love postcards with NATURE landscapes from Your country / of (landscape with) old ruins, historic castles, beautiful old bridges, caves.
* Anything tea related (teapots, cups of tea, tea tins etc).
* Postcards depicting indigenous people with body-modifications (tribal scarring, tattoos, piercings etc)
* I love postcards with mythological animals (e.g dragons, werewolves, basilisk, manticore, cerberus, drop bear, dryad...)
* gothic, dark, spooky postcards are fun too
* nouvelle images postcards
Hint to Finnish postcrossers- I LOVE Kaj Stenvall!

See my favorites for more ideas (check your country there for easier overview): http://www.postcrossing.com/user/Mercar/gallery/favourites

I like real stamps if possible. Favorite topics: plants, animals and definitive stamps (like UK Machin series http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machin_series)

No idea what to write to me? Feel free to write something about nature and wildlife in your country. Say something about yourself. Maybe you have pets? How was your day? What is your favourite quote and why?
Suggestions of good (fantasy) books are really welcome :)

Thank you for reading this far!
Happy postcrossing!
