Hi there,
After a long break I'm back at Postcrossing and I'm excited to receive your card! This time together with my boyfriend Luuk & our bird Loki.

First some information to get an impression of my life. My name is Melanie and I'll turn 30 in september. Yes, I'm getting old, luckily :)
I'm a registered nurse in community care and I really love my job. I'm also really interested in ambulance care services and considering to make the switch one day.

In my free time I spend time with my family and friends, play some basketball, go shopping or I'm creating cute amigurumi's.

Luuk and I love to play guitar together, but he's the better half of our musical duo. And every year in the winter, we visit the Swiss to speed down the mountains on our snowboard. Also, we love to go hiking with my dad's dog: Banjer (free translation: mud monster) or visit concerts/festivals. Luuk made a job out of this last hobby and became a stage builder after he left the army.
We live together with our little wrecking ball Loki, a Kakariki (which means 'small parrot' in Maori).

We will be grateful for every card I receive, but these kind of cards Melanie likes the most:
- Ambulances from where you're living, or any other cards related to medical care.
- 'Vintage' cards in black and white or sepia, old propaganda cards(!) or any other antique cards.
- Beautiful landscapes showing a season (winter!) or just a special place from where you are, cards showing beautiful nature (from your country)
- BIRDS! Especially Robins, parakeets, parrots & kakarikis ofcourse.
- Anything representing music, especially guitars, rock bands, western/countrymusic or anything else. On the other hand, classical music is not our thing.

Luuk likes to add some of his favourite subjects:
- Jeep cars (especially from the brand JEEP), pick-up trucks or any other cool cars.
- Vintage army cards or (vintage) pin-up girls
- Guitars & Rock&Roll!

If you don't have a card that suits our interests, then please send us a card from your collection that you like by yourself or makes you happy and tell us why that is.
