About Jessica...

Hi!

After realising I'm not good at studying at university (only 20-ish years late, but who's counting lol), I chose to switch careers. Now I'm an apprentice to become an optician.

Besides working and learning for my newfound profession, I like to go to the cinema and to read (mainly fantasy, urban fantasy and various genres and authors via audio books), love playing DnD and LARPing, I am an archer (bare bow recurve but I only "hunt" paper-targets ;-) and I love it) and a Nerd.

Please, don't put your cards into an envelope. I like them stamped. :-)

Cards I'd like to receive (in NO particular order):

* Any kind of map, flag or "contour" card would be appreciated. I'd like to start a collection eventually resulting in a world-wide map made through cards :)

* theme-/season-related cards, be it a season of the year, holidays or any thematic relation, I'd like to see it through your card's eyes... And be unusual - send "out-of-season" cards, if you like (like Chrismassy card in Summer, Halloween-ish card in February...) If you do so, please explain the holiday/season given, what it means to you/ how it is celebrated and when it actually takes place ;-)

* funny and unusual Postcards (I do have a rather sarcastic sense of humour, so feel free to send "fishy" (but funny!) cards as well)

* "Tourist-Cards" as well with nice views on whatever is worth seeing in your general area... (if possible, tell me what I see; If you know of any local myth or legend, I'd be delighted to learn it)

* Also, as I have seen many reject self-made cards, I DON'T... If you have been hit by creativity, I will love to receive your piece of art.

* Copying from a fellow Postcrosser, if you're having a nice piece of packaging (cookies, sweets, stuff, the like,...) at hand, you can cut it into a postcard-shaped and -sized format and use as a card! Would be interesting to see "foreign"-day-to-day material...

I really would appreciate if you could write one or two sentences (incl. English/German translation) in your mother tongue and if you have a different alphabet (Cyrillic, Arabic, ... ), I would love to see your sentence written in that way.

If you've sent a card, but I haven't registered it in due time - text me, I'll register it anyway... ;)

Happy Postcrossing!
