About Marlie...

Hey there,

we are father and daughter. I (Marlie) become a highschool-teacher in politics, philosophy and german. I am currently studying in Mainz. My dad (Jan) is a pensioner, he worked for television. He is the best Dad in the world. I have an own apartment with my husband Sebastian in my parents house, so I can visit my parents every time I want - the family is very important to us.

We live in Klein-Winternheim, a small village in the south-west of germany, with its approximately 3,600 residents in the scenic countryside of Rheinhessen and just outside the city of Mainz. Our house looks like a typical swedish house (it looks really very unusual in our street), because we are big Sweden-fans - we were there a lots of times. My Dad and my Mom love to travel with their camper.

My Dad`s hobbies are fishing, learning Swedish, cooking (better than Mom), and he keeps our house (the house that he built with his own hands)in good condition - a big job!
I have not much time for hobbies - studying in the Master is so hard, and the little free time I have Í spend with my boyfriend - we love to watch old movies, like "Some like it hot" or "Breakfast at Tifanny`s". I am very interested in politics - I always have to know what happens in the world.

So, now you know something about us, we are already excited to get your card. We like to recieve a card of YOUR favorites. Choose a card you would like to recieve by your own. If you like tourist-cards, send us one, if you like cats, send us a cat-card, if you like handmade, we will be happy to recieve it, and so on. Surprise us with any card YOU like, maybe you want to tell us why you've chosen that particular card. All beautiful, funny or unusual cards are welcome!

If you don't know what to write on the postcard, maybe you want to tell us something about your life, your profession, hobbies, your family, the education-system in your country (did you love school or not? and why?)or what do you think about germans (What do you associate with Germany?). Or tell us about something you love or hate, about your day, or your plans for tomorrow, or your culture.
Liebe Grüße,
Marlie und Jan

PS: One special wish of my husband: postcards with bud spencer and/or terrence hill! thank you
