Hi all! My name is Marijke and I live in Haarlem, one of the most (if not the most) beautiful cities of the Netherlands. I live here with my British boyfriend and our two cats, Mina and Tilly, who, true to cats, spend most days asleep.

I rarely get bored, but when I do, I usually pick up a good book. If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them! I also love to cook (your recipes are welcome!), run (I enjoy participating in virtual challenges, lik those from The Conqueror), and write. During the pandemic I took up a new hobby - I'm now really into embroidery, with birds as my favourite subject.

Any postcard is more than welcome, but if you need some ideas, I always love to receive:

* postcards with coffee, tea, and/or baked goods
* postcards related to France in general and Paris in particular
* Iceland related postcards
* postcards with colourful doors
* reading/writing related postcards
* (black and white) portraits
* historical, vintage-like and retro postcards
* botanical drawings
* insects and spiders (trying to get over my mild phobia)
* skulls, bones and other oddities

And this idea came from another postcrosser - with her permission I took it over: if you have any postcards that you just can't seem to get rid of, or that you just dislike and have no idea how they ended up in your stash, send them to me! If you do, I'd really like to hear why you don't like it and took this opportunity to get rid :)

Still no clue? Send me the tenth postcard you pick up. Ten is my lucky number, so I'm sure I'll love it!

I don't mind a little nudity or vulgarity, so if you have any naughty postcards and you don't know what to do with them, send them to me! I promise I won't be shocked ;)

I also don't mind receiving ad cards if you think I like them - they can be edgy, kitschy, sexy and funny!
