About Marie...

I am a widow, a christian in a Muslim country, just lately found a new love, with two boys, born 2011 and 2014. I care for them and my mum, so I can afford only few postcards with postage monthly, so unfortunately I have to click "not interested in swaps," even if I am.
I am an independent vendor of telefon-SIMs, their data and so on, so if you are coming to Banjul be sure to vist me and get execellent sevice for your mobile :-)

I love music. The Gambia is a great country and we are calling it the smiling cost of west Africa. Check my smile, I've been told, it's nice.

Internationally the Gambia is mostly known as the home of Kunta Kinthe, now one of our two UNESCO sites.
I am very interested in UNESCO sites - if you have cards, stamps or cancellation of them, I will be delighted.

And as we have no waterfalls in Gambia I am fascinated about them. My boys lately found out and joint boyscouts - do you

PS: Please try to avoid meetup cards

PPS: as I am getting a lot of questions for stamps, cards and envelopes from Gambia lately, so I have to add:

You find gambian stamps better at international dealers, than in the Gambia. I have contacts to the postoffice, where the stamps from https://www.igpc.com/ arrive, but it regulary takes very long for getting new stamps, if at all. I have a small collection of mint stamps with small denominations (fitting for postcards), but guard it carefully.
Right now international postcard postage is 50 Dalassis, about one US$

Cards are difficult to get and seldom of good quality, and only at touristical places at touristical prices, all the popular series are not availible.
If you want a card from me, check my cards sent from GM and look if you find one you like, write me it´s ID on your card, don´t forget your senders address and your profile´s name (write clearly) and tell me a nice reason, why to send you a card - I am fed up with "you must send me a card now".
Include an international reply coupon or the stamps needed - contact me via eMail beforehand if you dont have either.
Most of my sent cards are selfmade from my love for to use them from the Gambia. That means, if they are finished, they are gone fully - like the crocodile https://www.postcrossing.com/postcards/GM-227

If you want a card from the popular series - send in an envelope that card twice to me, one of it with your address and postage applied - I will post it for you.

Envelopes (covers) start seven(!!!!) times the postage of the already expensive postage for a postcard - impossible for me.

Keep in mind, we´re in africa - mail services are not really reliable here. My fastest card took four days to france, my slowest more the 600 days to the USA - and about a third is still travelling / lost.
