Hello! My name's Maria, I'm 20. I live in Belarus, small beautiful country in central Europe. I like reading, singing, watching series, listening to music and of course I adore Postcrossing. I got acquainted with that project thanks to my English teacher. Some years ago she told us, her students, that she had got some penpals and almost every day she received a postcard. When I was younger I sent letters to my friend to other city. But we stopped communicating. So I decided to try Postcrossing.

I like reading very much and every year I make a huge read-list of books that I want to read but my plans always ruined because I have little time for it.

I am a big fan of music. My favourite singers are Demi Lovato and The Weeknd. Frankly speaking I can listen to their songs 24/7. They make me feel positive, strong and relax. And I also like American rap.

Music takes important place in my life and I like all things connected to it. This year I've tried to dance bachata. Oh my God... My life won't be the same again! Now it's one of my main hobbies and I dance almost every day.

I like learning something new about different countries and cultures and it is another reason why I registered at Postcrossing. In my opinion it is a very good idea. Traditional letters are not very popular nowadays but I think it is more interesting and exciting than writing e-mails.

I like stickers very much so, if you can, please decorate your postcard with stickers, illustrations and beautiful stamps.

You can write something about your country, hobbies, life, recommend me your favourite book, describe your day or something that make you happy or sad. I will be happy if you write me your favourite quotation or your life motto. My motto is ''Nerve cells regenerate slowly, so don't worry if it isn't worth it''. If you don't know what to write you can write some good words or wishes for me and my family. It seems to me that they are looking forward to postcards as well as me, especially my granny. She doesn't speak English but she always tries to understand at least one word.
