About Margit...
Hello, dear Postcrossers,
My name is Margit, I am from Austria and reside in a town near Salzburg. I am in my sixties, and my greatest treasure is my family. I have two grown sons, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and three adorable little grandchildren.
"Always stay curious” - this sentence was written on a card I received some time ago, and it has become my motto for Postcrossing! I am constantly intrigued by the cards sent to me - the front, the backside, the stamps, the handwriting, the text, and every little detail. Each card holds something that captures my attention. Therefore, I cherish all the cards people send, and I especially prefer to receive just one card, written and stamped, without an envelope.
I appreciate a variety of themes. If you're looking for ideas on what to send, here are some topics I particularly enjoy:
- The surrounding area where you live (villages, towns, valleys, cities, ...)
- Beautiful landscapes, atmospheric scenes with snow and ice, the sun, cloud formations, thunderstorms
- Castles and famous buildings
- Aerospace and astronomy
- Ocean, islands, ships
- Language, calligraphy, music, engineering
- Interesting facts concerning biology, physics, sciences
- birds, wild animals, insects, wild flowers and plants
For German-speaking people: I can read and write the old German cursive "Kurrent/Sütterlin."
My wall of favorites showcases the types of cards I appreciate, though not necessarily the exact ones I hope to receive. I don't mark received cards as favorites, but each one holds a special place in my collection.
I'm eagerly anticipating the card you choose to send! Thank you in advance!
Margit
