About Mainu...

Hi there,

How are you doing?

You can call me Mainu, that's my nickname :-)
I live in a town in the centre of Germany with about 90,000 inhabitants. I work in software administration.
I love to quill and I have just started to do some embroidery. However, it is not sure yet, whether I will ever manage to finish that embroidery project of mine. ;-) I also meet once a week with friends for Bible studies. And about twice a month I meet with friends for board games evenings.

I collect postcards for several years now and I still love it.

My most favourite postcards (in random order) are:
-UNESCO world heritages
-postcards showing something typical of your town, region or country, or a view of your town
-postcards with Bible words, it doesn't matter whether they are in a language I speak or not. It will be fun to figure out their meaning :-)
-postcards showing church windows (other church postcards are welcome, too)
-Gorjus, Inge Löök (old Ladies) or other beautiful and colourful illustrations
-birds, I love birds!
-postcards that show animals (for example butterflies, squirrels, lizards, goats, kangaroos and donkeys but other animals are welcome too)
-Maps on which you can see the world or at least a continent
-those that tell about the history. For example that show scenes of the past, how people lived or worked.
Or if you like you can also have a look at my favourites. They contain postcards I would like to receive but which I do not have yet.

If you are from STOCKHOLM, HELSINKI or TAMPERE could you please send me a view card of your city, please? I spent very nice vacations in these cities and would love to receive a reminder of these trips. Thank you! :-)

But I will be happy about any postcard I receive, so don't worry if you don't have something of the list above! Maybe your postcard would be among my favourites if I would just know it.

I would be very happy if you could write something more than Happy Postcrossing on the postcard.
Just in case you don't know what to write you could tell me some fun facts about your country/city, what do you like best at the current season of the year or tell me, what you prefer to eat and drink for breakfast.
And maybe you could draw a bird for me, please? That would be great! :-)

You can write to me in German, English, French and if you use simple sentences also in Swedish.

I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Have a nice day!
