About Maggie...

I am an avid reader. I like maps and science. I am a retired teacher. I am interested in any postcards, but would be especially pleased to receive pictures of lighthouses, maps or anything relating to the history or culture of your home country. I do have a Tuxedo cat, Henry and would be thrilled with any cards with animals or wildlife . If you send me a postcard during the holidays, I would be very interested in learning how you celebrate them in your country. When I was a teacher, every December I did a unit on " Christmas Around the World" and if we had parents from other countries, they would come in and tell us how they celebrated in their home country and we would put cards they brought up on a map. It was my favorite unit to do, because I learned so much too.

Now that I've been a member of postcrossing for awhile and have learned about Inga Look, I want to add that to my list of cards that I'd especially like. But I really am happy to receive any card that you want to send me. If you write something in your native language I would like that too! Don't forget to tell me what you said though! Thank you!

P.S. I love all nature, birds, and other animals, but would be especially happy if I received a card with a hedgehog! ( But I still love cats!)Also I wouldn't mind upcyled postcards, particularly if made from pretty food boxes from your home country. That way you don't have to buy a card, you can just use something you already have!

I just received (July 23, 2012) a beautiful card from Lena in Russia with no ID number. I love the card, please send me the ID number so that I can register it! Thanks!
