I love knowing about other cultures - things like local idioms (sayings), words that only your language has, superstitions or legends. If I read something that I would never have known about a place or culture, that will make my day. Favourite memories, local foods, customs, things that make you smile. And please tell me about any books that are famous in your country if you want to!
I'm an academic working in e-learning and a part time novelist as well. I live in Leeds, north East England. It's great for cinemas and theatre and we have an art gallery and museums as well as five universities/colleges (including one for Art and one for Music). I love reading, world cinema and music.
I adore animals (am veggie!!) so animal postcards would be lovely. Art postcards, unusual postcards or postcards that show your country's culture all gratefully received. I don't really mind though - SURPRISE me!
