About Lucy...

Hello, My name is Lucy Beeman.

I am a veterinarian and I love working with dogs and cats. Although, I do love all other animals. I am very happy in my profession. I recently moved to Naperville to live with family in order to start my career. I am originally from Rockford, IL.

I love taking long walks every day and interacting with others on my walks. I try not to speak loudly as this has been a problem for me. Squirrels are so great to see on a walk. They are frequent and run out in front of me at times and they definitely scare me, but I do love those little guys, but I persist on because I know it is good for me to walk.

Our neighborhood has a lot of hawks , which can be very scary. The people who live with me are afraid of them too. They do not let me go in the backyard too much because of the hawks, unless I am with someone else who can scare them away with me. I've tried running after them, especially because I speak so loud, but it doesn't help.

I like to wear dresses and sweaters. Lately I have been growing out of my clothes and hopefully I will stay at this weight for a while.

I love eating beef and liver. Chicken is not my favorite and neither is Salmon or fish in general. The other day, I had one jelly bean and I threw up. Too much sugar, oh well. We live and learn.

Have you noticed the smell of spring in the air lately? I sure have. Smelling is great. There are so many different smells in the spring. Sometimes I like to just put my head in the air and breathe in. There is something so special about that. You should do that sometime, I highly recommend it!

I got lost in the woods by my house the other day. You see, I haven't lived here that long and wanted to explore but I lost track of my surroundings. Everything was so interesting. I have never seen the agriculture of this area. It was fascinating. AND THE SMELLS! HEAVENLY. I lost my bearings. I kept hearing a voice in the distance.."Lucy! Lucy!" And I found out that there is someone who lives next to me with the same name so I thought they were talking to them. It was then that I realized that I should check to see where I was and then I said "Nah." and continued to explore. All of a sudden, I heard the most wonderful voice, it was my father. I turned around and ran to him. My heart leaped with joy. It felt like I hadn't seen him in hours or years. Yep, I was lost. He was so kind and he wasn't mad at me at all. Of course he wasn't mad at me, I did not do anything--I just got lost. He brought me back to the house and there was my mother yelling for me "Lucy!" and I looked at my watch and went "Oh my gosh look at the time! I am so sorry!" She was beside herself.

I love getting mail. I love sending mail too!

I love anything that has to do with animals (Pretty shocking right?) and I love to hear about the animals where you all live too. Do you have any fun wildlife where you live? Thank you so much! I hope to hear from you very soon!

Lots of Cheer,

Luc
