About Lori...

I am a Sr. IT Project Manager by profession - it pays the bills! For fun my boyfriend, Bob and I enjoy geocaching (www.geocaching.com). We've met some great people at geocaching events around the country. We've been to some HUGE events that had six or seven thousand people attend. Everywhere we travel we find caches. You have to go to the website to learn what that's about. We also get outside a lot, hiking, biking and offroad driving to find caches. It's FUN!

I am also a volunteer at several organizations - I belong to Toastmasters, an international organization that promotes excellence in public speaking (a big fear for many), and also leadership. I'm also on several professional boards. I also am part of an organization that takes young people out sailing every month. I enjoy volunteering as it allows me to give back to the community and meet lots of great people.

I collect anything having do with Killer Whales, and my geocaching name is LovOrca. They are one of the most beautiful animals. I had the pleasure of studying them up in Washington and Canada (Seattle to Victoria) with a whale researcher.

This past year my boyfriend and I took a Whale Watching Naturalist class. Now I can go whale watching for FREE as I go as a docent and talk to the customers about the whales, dolphins and sea lions we see on our trips. I LOVE going out to see the California Gray Whales, Blue Whales (the largest animal on earth), Humpbacks, Fins, and lots of dolphin species. They are beautiful and majestic.

I also enjoy sailing, going to the theater, musicals, movies, and playing WII and connecting with friends on Facebook and LinkedIn.

I'd love postcards of where you are from, and tell me what I would do if I visited your country and town. I love beautiful sunsets, fantastic cityscapes, and outdoors images. Looking forward to your postcard!
