Hello,

my name is Katrin and I live in Leipzig/Germany.
I am really very interested in travelling, but I have not enough money neither the time for it, so I do the second best in my opion, I write and collect postcard from all over the world as an window to the world.

There are so many places I want all over the world I am interessted in to visit. Like seeing "Nessie" in Scotland for example ;-)

But there are some more things I love or even like:

-Reading
-going to concerts and to enjoy my favourite music. Concerts, that I have visited and that were really great: The Dresden Dolls, Porcupine Tree or/and Stephen Wilson solo, Olafur Arnalds, Disillusion, The Hives, The 69Eyes, Garbage, Philipp Boa and the Voodooclub (often after Christmas in Leipzig), Sigur Ros, Nick Cave, Soror Dolorosa, A dead forest Index, Me and my Drummer, Madonna(great show), Apocalyptica, and many many more
-going to the independent cinema and watching movies from Scandinavia, France, Czech Republik, ...
-playing broadgames like Dominion, Ticket to ride, Carcassonne
-watching cool TV Series like: Life, Mad Men, 30Rock, Being Erica, True Blood, Gilmore Girls, Six feet under, Borgen, ... but as a cinema fan I also like to see movies from my DVD at home
-cooking and eating vegetarian food
-baking cakes
-visiting exhibitions
-going to the theatre or a reading
-meeting good friends and spend time with them
-going to the bookstore and looking for new stuff
-looking, hunting and buying postcards
and of course I love to receive postcards from all over the world

There are many different places and countrys I visited up to now, but I am always trying to collect new impressions. Also during the pandemic situation, when I am only travelled by train and to places closed to Germany. But I also got to places that where not on my bucketlist before...

Quito and the area around with Pichincha, Cotopaxi, Chimborazo and Tungurahua (Ecuador, sorry that I missed Galapagos)
Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling and some beautiful small villages on the John Muire Way (Scotland) - hopefully Nessie will wait for me ;-)
Oxford (England)
Gdansk, Soppot and Gydnia, Wroclaw, Krakow and Warszawa (Poland, but not in wintertime again)
Bohemia Switzerland and Praha (Czech)
Dublin and Wicklow county (Ireland)
Riga (Latvia)
Rom, Genova, Venice, Vicenza, Bologna, Verona, Trieste (Italy, I am in love with Italien food)
Stockholm (Sweden)
Capetown and Western Cape (South Africa)
St. John's (New Foundland)
Baltic Sea in different Countrys (Denmark, Germany, Poland, Latvia), that I really love since I was a child. But I am not in love to the North Sea, that is really unstable in Germany.
