Hi! I’m Lisa, living in Logan, Utah, USA. It’s close to Idaho. We have beautiful mountains nearby, and the Bear River meanders through the region creating wetlands where birds and other wildlife thrive. I am a Folklorist, and recently retired from my position as director of the Bear River Heritage Area, which includes the seven counties of northern Utah and southeastern Idaho. In my job I studied the people and places of the region, interviewing folks about their traditions, jobs and cultural heritage. I love vernacular architecture such as barns, farms, houses and churches of the 1900s. I wrote stories about these things and produced educational brochures for travelers. I am a mom of six kids all grown up, and a grandma of eleven. I recently lost my husband, but I am doing okay. I love my family, my home. I have a big fluffy dog named Buddy. He’s a good companion dog. At home I like creating beautiful healthy food. I love to sew and knit, and play the fiddle. What else? I love to get out an enjoy nature.
