Please date your cards! It's nice to work out how long they've taken to travel.
I live in the small town of Wooler in north Northumberland which is a popular place to begin exploring the local countryside including the Cheviot Hills. It is not far from the Scottish Borders. Up until retirement I worked as a nurse manager in a nursing home. I enjoy collecting vintage 1900s postcards. I have albums of all postcards I have ever received.
My son lives in Adelaide, South Australia and I love visiting the country. I have been to Sydney, Perth, Alice Springs and Cairns plus many other places over the last 20 years. I am Granny to Felicity (7) and her big sister Faith (26). I'm a keen gardener!. I also have lots of houseplants.
Northumberland is a beautiful county in the North of England. Plenty of walks here and the Northumberland and Scottish coastlines are 20 minutes away. We are near beautiful castles, one being Alnwick which was used in the Harry Potter films. Also Warkworth, Dunstanburgh and Bamburgh. Newcastle upon Tyne is the nearest city, 40 miles away, a vibrant, multi-cultural big city.
I welcome any sort of postcard, but vintage or black and white ones very welcome. I LOVE the Moomins and oriental designs, especially dragons. Thank you.
