About Linda...

My apologies for neglecting my Postcrossing correspondents. I have been struggling to meet a deadline for my new book.

But now I'm back with new cards and a supply of stamps. 13 people will receive their long-awaited cards soon.

My book, "The Rice Paddy Navy," about the U.S. Navy working in China in WWII, is now available through Amazon.

What a simple pleasure to receive messages from all kinds of people from all over the world and to send them in kind. Each time I find a card in my mailbox, I feel a child-like delight, and I enjoy the tiny moment of suspense after I click the link to reveal my next recipient. Where in the world will this little card travel?

I am a freelance writer, 57 years old, living in Boston, Mass. USA.

I play Renaissance music and enjoy birds, hiking, biking, paddling, books, photography, family history, pyrography, and my latest craft, bead loom weaving.

I live in a small apartment with my partner Spencer in Boston, and we also have a little cabin in the woods in Maine. Our adult son lives in the Boston area.

Boston is a popular vacation destination, and I enjoy finding postcards in the souvenir shops to send to my Postcrossing friends.

I love to travel, but I lack the money and time right now, so I hope to see a bit of the world and share my corner of it through this postcard project.

I would like to receive any card that is meaningful to you depicting your home town or your interests.

I'm especially fond of single view cards of castles, alpine views, street scenes, and architectural details such as doors, windows and roof lines.

I notice that many Postcrossers ask not to receive handmade cards. Not I! I would love to see your heartfelt creations.
