my name is Liane and I live in Hagen. Hagen is situated on four rivers and embedded in the Country side between the Sauerland region and the Ruhrgebiet area.

I joined postcrossing because of my love for sending/receiving postcards.
It is always nice to get something other than bills.
I also like to read- Jane Austen, Emily Brontë ( Wuthering Heights), crime stories- especially on lazy sundays in my garden or in winter time in front of the fire place while having a cup of tea.

I also enjoy dancing, swimming, theatre and browsing in bookstores.

On TV I like the shows Big Bang Theory, Sherlock Holmes (BBC) and Spooks (BBC).

My favourite types of cards are:

- Skylines of big cities
- UNESCO Heritage sites
- Cathedrals
- Lighthouses, Sea and shells

- BW cards with coloured accent
- Lali cards
- Mila Marquis
- Aquarupella

For US postcrossers: State Map cards distributed from Smith- Southwestern would be great!

I also like Did you know postcards!

For Ukraine postcrossers: I like the Owl postcards of Vladimir Arzhevitin. I would be happy if you could send me one of those cards.
For Belarus/Russian postcrossers: I so like the Art postcards of Leonid Afremov ( cards I have: Freshness of cold).

The best part of a postcard is the message that you write so please don't write only " Happy postcrossing".

I register postcards on the Day I receive them, unless I am on holiday, that would be at most twice a year
