About Lily...

My name is Lily, come from Taiwan, born and living in Taipei City, which is the capital of Taiwan. There are many historical sites in Taipei, the most famous of which is Mengka Longshan Temple, located in Wanhua District where I live. Lungshan Temple is located in the district Manka of Taipei. It was founded in 1738 and dedicated to the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy (Kuan-in in Chinese, or Avalokitesvara in Sanskrit).

This temple originated its name from the ancient Lungshan Temple established in Chin-chiang county of Fukien province in the seventh century.Immigrants from the three counties Chin-chiang, Nan-an and Hui-an of Fukien came to Manka in the beginning of the eighteenth century. As they were pious followers of that ancient Lungshan Temple in their home town, they erected this one as a branch temple at Manka and named it after the root temple when they created a new settlement here in Taipei. Lungshan Temple of today is no longer in the original buildings constructed in 1738. It was rebuilt in 1919 and completed in 1924.Lungshan Temple always keeps it nature as a Buddhist temple, but in the course of its development many deities of Taoism were also included. The variety of deities in this temple shows the tolerant mentality of the Chinese people in their religious life.

I like to collect beautiful postcards, special postmark and stamps. Taiwan's Chunghwa Post often holds temporary post offices in various places. I also often choose suitable stamps according to the pattern of the temporary postmarks, and paste them on the matching postcards to make maxi cards. I often send maxi cards to my friends, and you are also welcome to send me maxi cards or exchange them.

I also like to host or join meetups. I designed a lot of meetup cards using materials. If possible, please send me the meetup card with Postcrossing LOGO.

I like to travel, especially to Japan, I went to Japan traveling more than 10 times for 130 days in the past 13 years. I would be very happy if I could receive a postcard from Japan and talk about local things.

I like to take pictures, but I don't like to receive photography postcards, so if possible, please try to avoid sending me photography postcards (except meetup cards) or commercial cards or free cards.
