I'm Catrin, I'm 46 years and now about some years with Postcrossing.
The moments I like most are:
when I open the mailbox and see a postcard
and when I get a new adress and the process of picking starts. Will I find something the receiver would like? This is really a nice game for me. Sometimes it fits, sometimes it's rather difficult - but always fun.
And I like to read your receiving comments and I enjoy writing them.
So please continue to choose, write and post cards to me!!
Any card is welcome, but if you need some input, here are some ideas:
+beautiful places, either of the area you live in OR you've visited OR you maybe want to visit - because there are plenty of remarkable places on this planet
+any card YOU very much like, please explain why - I really want to know
+ballett and anything related to dance - I wish I could move like a dancer
+mountains - because they are the landscape of MY heart
+remote spots - because this are the places where I'm able to really calm down
+islands = mountains + sea... (I'm sorry, I'm not so keen on the classic beaches)
+remarkable gardens - because I'm a leisure gardener myself...how uncool...but so enriching
+trees and wildflowers - because they are treasures full of life and diversity
+self-made cards - I'm curious to feel your creativity!
+Totoro and the amazing Hayao Miyazaki - because his films really touch me
+black and white filmstar portraits - because they are really classy
+Vivian Maier, if there are any cards - because her works are so amazing and her story so incredible
And I would like to know what inspires you most at the moment:
music, a book, a film, an artist, an exhibition, a special event... or whatever it is.
Or let me know the most beautiful moment of your day - even the smallest thing counts. Thanks for sharing with me :-))
Have a nice day!
If a postcard you've send to me expires, please give me a message!!!
I've been not very lucky myself the recent months, quite a lot of cards I've sent have not been registered so far and - I'm afraid - never will be. Sometimes I feel the urge to solve the mystery about the secret place they all end up, maybe postcards Shangri La?
PS: From now I stop scanning cards...at least for a while. It’s too time consuming and the real cards give me much more fun👍🏻
