Hi everyone!

My name is Anke. I live in Ilmenau, also called “The window to thuringian forest” near to “Rennsteig” – the most famous hiking way 170 km along beautiful nature.
Thuringians favourite “sport” is barbecuing :D especially their world wide well-known “Bratwurst”. The most popular visitor of Ilmenau was Goethe. This region inspired him to write and he also liked to relaxe here far away from Weimar royal household.

I like travelling, gardening and to spend time with friends.
To get postcards is nearly like to travel. I am very interested in other cultures. Tell me about customs and traditions or things which are typical for your region.
