Hello Stranger = Future Friend!

My name is Alison, I'm 49 years old and very happily married to officially the best Husband in the world. We have been truly blessed in the gift of our very special, amazing and incredibly inspirational 14 year old son named Leo. He was born with severe learning difficulties.along with several other challenges to his health, just one of which is being partially sighted. Despite these challenges he is such a happy, loving little boy, who loves life and is always smiling. He is the light of our lives.

I am his full time carer and as he is unable to talk, read, write, eat normally etc, it's a full time job! lol! Prior to his birth I had a 20 year career in the Railway industry but very willingly gave this up to care for our dear Son and I don't miss it one little bit!

So now, postcrossing, to me, is a way of staying connected to the outside world now I work from home so to speak, It's a wonderful cultural exchange, so the back of the card is just as important as the picture on the front. I force myself to learn something new every day so can you be my teacher? Tell me about your life, make me smile (some days here can be difficult!) but most importantly I want YOU to enjoy sending and writing it. My pleasure comes from YOURS.
