Hello! My name is Laurie.

My family currently lives near San Diego, California. We have lived in several states and so far California is my favorite. I love the palm trees and the sunshine! My husband and I both have Lab Manager jobs. I work in a health clinic for students at a local university. Our children are ages 10, 15, and 17. My 10-year old takes me camping. We stick to campgrounds with facilities (bathrooms, showers, snack shops) so I guess the better word is glamping. We visited Joshua Tree National Park this year. The 15-year old is all about soccer. We spend a lot of time driving, watching, and cheering with him or for him. My 17-year old plays tennis and video games. Hopefully, he will graduate from school and head off on his own soon.

I like all the postcards I receive! My favorites are sites from your city/country. They help me pick my "someday" travel destinations! I also like the tidbits of history that go with the places. Here is one of my tidbits...I grew up in the tiny town of Copenhagen in New York State which was named after Copenhagen, Denmark.
